July 2018 - See a display of my work at Canada Place, Canary Wharf, next to Hotel Chocolat.
What I love about paper is its lightness and strength. I can carry it anywhere, it's ubiquitous, and yet, with some time and a blade I can transform it. By removing small pieces it gets read differently. The paper becomes unique and unmissable. Maps intrigue me for a very similar reason. In an era where we have maps everywhere, including in our own heads, when the labels and orienting points are removed by cutting, we must engage with it and find what we know. Maps and knowledge are always partial, but also so very personal. Take a look.
